Our Traditional Martial Arts program has been practiced throughout the world. It has been improving the lives of students both young and old and giving them a strong foundation in the martial arts.


What is a traditional martial art?

Traditional Martial Arts are what most people think of when they see the term martial arts. Taekwondo, Karate, Aikido, and even Kung Fu are often considered traditional arts. They are formal systems where a student enters at a beginner level or rank, and through hard work and training they move up through a series of ranks to attain Master level. Each rank has its own techniques and requirements for advancement and the higher the rank the more difficult the requirements become. Something else about traditional arts is their emphasis on both physical and mental training. At the core of many traditional arts, character building and self improvement go hand in hand with physical skills such as technique and power.



Our Program For Children

Children as young as three years old have been trained in the martial arts for centuries. Sent by their parents, they were instructed in the ways of their particular school. Schools would be devoted to a specific system of martial arts and would concentrate on the perfection of that art. Training which would last nearly their entire childhood would impart many skills and attributes that would benefit them into adulthood. The characteristics of a traditional martial arts program are the adherence to a code of conduct and discipline. Students are trained both physically and mentally to develop not only self defense skills, but also the qualities of leadership, confidence, integrity and honor.
